The price depends on your phone model, the type of display and the extent of the damage. Send us your exact model and, if possible, a photo of the damaged screen on WhatsApp. We can then advise you on the likely repair cost. The final price is confirmed before any work begins.
Many straightforward screen replacements can be completed the same day, depending on your phone model and parts availability. Some repairs take longer if there is additional damage to the frame, display connectors or other components. We will give you an estimated turnaround before starting.

Not necessarily immediately, but we recommend having it assessed. A screen can continue working after a crack while the glass, touch layer or display underneath has already been damaged. Cracks can also worsen after further pressure or another drop.
It depends on the phone and how the screen is constructed. On many modern smartphones, the glass, touchscreen and display form part of a complete display assembly. If the image, touch response or panel itself is damaged, a complete screen replacement may be required.
A normal screen replacement does not usually require your phone to be erased. However, we strongly recommend backing up important photos, contacts and files before handing any device in for repair.
If these features were working before the damage and the relevant sensors have not been damaged by the impact, a screen replacement should not normally require them to be replaced.
However, a hard drop can damage more than the screen. We check the relevant functions before and after the repair and will let you know if we find additional damage.
A straightforward screen replacement does not necessarily require an assessment fee.
If the phone has more complicated damage, such as liquid exposure, severe impact damage, boot problems or faults affecting multiple components, a R495 assessment fee may apply. We will tell you beforehand if a paid assessment is required.
Mobile Mate provides up to a 6-month warranty on parts and workmanship for qualifying repairs.
The warranty covers faults relating to the replacement part or workmanship. New accidental damage, drops, cracks or liquid damage after the repair would not be considered a warranty fault.

We recommend never relying on a repaired phone being completely waterproof. Water resistance on smartphones is not permanent and can reduce over time, especially after physical damage or when the device has been opened for repair.
